Biographie

Mireille Amèdè Elemon served as the curator of the Honmè Museum, formerly the Royal Palace of Porto-Novo, from 2011 to 2025. She was responsible for the preservation, enhancement, and promotion of the collections of the Honmè Museum and the entire Royal Palace site. In 2023, she participated in the French Ministry of Culture’s “Parcours des collections” program, which placed her within the collections department of the Toulouse Museum of Natural History. As part of this program, she contributed to participatory cultural research on the collections from Benin (2022–2024). As a museum professional, she also took part in the inventory of intangible cultural heritage elements in the city of Bohicon, Benin, led by UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture in 2024. She is a member of the Beninese committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM-Benin).
