Zélie Harscouët holds degrees in Law and History from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a research master’s degree in Social Sciences and Humanities from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). Her research and academic interests lie at the intersection of contemporary history and cultural studies, with a particular focus on French and East German societies in the second half of the twentieth century.

Her work included monitoring projects supported by the Provenance Research Fund, assisting in the preparation of the exhibition L’Histoire cherche son lieu by photographer and visual artist Anaëlle Vanel, contributing to the 2026 edition of the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften, and participating in the editorial work of the Fund’s publication series, Imprints. She also took part in several initiatives organized in connection with the commemorations surrounding the Panthéon induction of Marc Bloch, helping to promote and disseminate his intellectual legacy.
