Dechanel Kouameny Tankeu is a doctoral researcher in modern history at the University of Göttingen (GSGG), where he is completing a dissertation on German colonial rule in Cameroon (1884–1916) and the cultural biography of the Dzom So’o. As a research associate at the Zentrum Marc Bloch Berlin within the FANGBETI project, he conducted provenance research at the Museum Fünf Kontinente in Munich (2025) and fieldwork in the Yaoundé region. He is co-author of a peer-reviewed article published in Werkstatt Geschichte (Transcript Verlag, 2026).
