Biographie

Prince L. G. Gbegnito is a socio-anthropologist specializing in issues related to religious intangible heritage in Benin. He holds a PhD from the University of Abomey-Calavi and is an active member of the Laboratory for Analysis and Research on Religions, Spaces, and Development (LARRED). His doctoral research focuses on educational mechanisms specific to different African religious traditions, with particular emphasis on models of social integration and their behavioral impact on children.

His work also addresses territorial development and the social challenges linked to traditional religious and cultural heritage, viewing heritage as a key driver of local development and social integration. Since 2023, he has been coordinating a research program at the École du Patrimoine Africain (EPA) dedicated to the restitution of cultural property in Benin.
