Pascal Ndjock Nyobe is a historian and member of the Histoire et Sciences du Patrimoine Laboratory at the University of Douala (Cameroon) and has contributed to the ANR ReTours project. He previously served as director of the Maritime Museum of Douala. His research examines the coloniality and postcoloniality of cultural heritage in Cameroon through restitution dynamics as well as enduring colonial monuments and iconography, whose continued presence in public and museum spaces he critically reflects upon.
