Jean-Paul C. Lawson is a lecturer-researcher at CY Cergy Paris University (UMR Héritages 9022) and president of the PatriMundus Association.
He holds a PhD in Heritage Studies and Film & TV Studies (CY Cergy–University of Warwick, 2024). His dissertation explores the preservation, promotion, and circulation of heritage in European and African contexts, with a particular focus on museums of civilization in West Africa.
A pioneer in digital innovation for African heritage, he developed Afrik’Ifa (www.afrikifa.net), a platform that enables African museums to digitize, publish online, and organize shared exhibitions of their collections.
