Bianca Van Laun

Biographie

Bianca Van Laun is a lecturer in the Department of Historical Studies at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. Her research focuses on political violence, memorialisation, and the return of human remains from the apartheid and colonial eras. Since 2016, she has been part of the Forensic History Project and co-coordinates the postgraduate module Forensic History. She has presented her work at international workshops, including in Botswana and Rwanda, and contributed to national consultative workshops on the repatriation and restitution of human remains and heritage objects in South Africa.
