A Multidisciplinary Dialogue on Collections of Ancestral Remains in German and French Museums<\/a>, coordinated by <em>inherit<\/em> fellow <a href=\"https:\/\/inherit.hu-berlin.de\/fellows\/damiana-otoiu\/\">Damiana O\u021boiu<\/a>, and funded by the Franco-German Provenance Research Fund, a research workshop took place in Berlin from 5-13 June 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop was held at <em>inherit<\/em>, the Humboldt Forum, and SAVVY Contemporary and brought together museum professionals and researchers, as well as legal experts and artists from South Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia,\u00a0France, Romania, and Germany. Entitled&nbsp;<em>Doing Provenance Research in Germany: Tools, Databases, and Access,<\/em>&nbsp;the&nbsp;sessions introduced&nbsp;participants to key resources, databases, and methodologies for provenance research in Germany.&nbsp;The&nbsp;programme&nbsp;will be followed in July 2026 by a similar workshop, entitled&nbsp;<em>Doing Provenance Research in&nbsp;France: Tools, Databases, and Access<\/em>, to be&nbsp;led&nbsp;by&nbsp;Simon Jean-Nebbache, provenance researcher&nbsp;at the&nbsp;Mus\u00e9um&nbsp;National&nbsp;d\u2019Histoire&nbsp;Naturelle&nbsp;in Paris<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the project\u00a0How to Engage with \/ Repatriate \u2018Artefacts\u2019\u2013Ancestors?
