Marc Eils

Biographie

As a Mercator Fellow, Marc Sebastian Eils focuses on the restitution of looted cultural heritage from colonial contexts. In his artistic research on colonialism and racism, he questions power relations in European archives and museums and seeks ways to abolish them. He works as a director and producer of documentary films and studied Development Studies and African Studies in Vienna and Berlin.
