PRESAT

The PRESAT project primarily aims to establish a network of researchers and documentary filmmakers around the visual collections of Hans Schomburgk (1880–1967). This team will seek to identify the institutions that hold H. Schomburgk’s films and engage in discussions with them with a view to possibly returning these collections. These discussions will be accompanied by scientific work to contextualize the films historically and assess their memorial and heritage value for the descendants of the colonized people Schomburgk filmed.
