Biographie

Mathieu Fribault holds a PhD in social anthropology and ethnology from the EHESS. His work focuses on the history and ethnography of the Baga Sitem and the Susu peoples of Guinea’s Lower Coast. He conducts research both in this field site and within applied anthropology contexts in the subregion. His ethnographic work centers on the relationships between socio-technical innovations and social change, the anthropology of nature, and research methodologies in the social sciences. From 2022 to 2024, he held a position at the École du Patrimoine Africain as part of French cooperation.
